Sometimes I am challenged to come up with cards for men! I think the black and white check works well with the Geared Up Garage!
I used the Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blend to color over three of the yellow Resin dots. Silver Foil paper works great for the gears.
I used the largest Stitched Square Die to cut out the car. Then cut out 10 black squares using the smallest stitched square die. (Cut two layers of c/s at a time. So five cuts). If you don’t have the Stitched Shapes Dies, you can just cut out the squares with your cutter. These squares happen to be 5/8″ sq.
- Adhere the first one in the upper left hand corner.
- 2nd square: jump down to the second row and place it touching the lower right corner of the first square.
- 3rd square: Jump back up to the first row. The two corners will again be touching.
- 4th square: Corner will touch the 3rd square and stick out over the edge.
- 5th square: Jump down to the 3rd row and just keep going.
I stamped the gas can in Black Memento Ink and colored it in with Light Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blend. You may want to consider stamping the gas can and cutting it out with the die because the Smokey Slate color bled onto the back of the card. It’s not a big deal really. Just something to think about. I masked the gas can and stamped the oil slick over it in Light Smokey Slate ink.
I added the Silver Foil large gears to the back of the front of the card just for fun!
