After making the Thank You cards for Vanessa and the baby shower, I decided to figure out how to make something similar that is our current catalog.

First, the note card.  Then, the tutorial.

The challenge in using this particular die from the Magnolia Memory Dies is that the die is 4 1/2" in width.

The Note Cards are 5" in width.  Yikes!  What can I do!

So here is what I did.

After I adhered the designer paper to the white note card, I used Washi Tape to hold the Magnolia die right at the edge, right in the center of the card stock.

Once I ran this through the cutting machine, then I turned it over and drew a little line from the place where the cut ended on each side out to the edge.

I used a C-Thru ruler to make sure that the lines from the end of the cut to the edge of the card were straight and even on each side.

Once I cut the little lines on each side, this is what it looked like.

Then I flipped it over in hopes that it was going to look good. I decided to add a 1/2" border of Petal Pink to help the note card looked finished.

Well, what do you think?

Personally, I love it!

Here is what I initially created trying to use the only scallop die that we currently carry.  It is from the Seasonal Layers Dies.

Even though I think that the note below is pretty, I think that the scallops are a little large.

But you can decided.

Here is the same note card made with the Pressed Petals Designer Series Papers and Merry Merlot c/s.

I have listed what you will want to have on hand in order to make this card.

Please add the July Host Code  to your order which is TX3YRTH.

If you order is $150 or more, then you do not use the host code and you get the benefit of the hostess credit!  That's fun!!!
