As you have noticed, I have taken a vacation from my blog!  When I got back from the Mediterranean Cruise, I was so busy getting ready for the June 11th meeting. Blogging was just not a possibility.

So now I am ready to get going again.

There were 60 of us at our meeting on Saturday.  Here are the five card entries with the top votes!

Jack        Jackie Cooley made a gorgeous card using the Bloomin' Hearts Thinlits and the Botanical Builders Framelets and the Rose Wonder stamp set.

She cut hearts and ferns and laid them on the card until it was totally covered.  Then she trimmed around the edges.

I asked Jackie how she made the flowers.  Here is what she said.

The flowers are made from the Petite Petals Punch.  You punch 4 for each flower.  The first one you cut into the middle .  Cut again into the middle on the other side of t a petal.  This eliminates one petal.  With tweezers, roll it tight and glue.  The second one is cut into the middle but you leave all 5 petals and attach this to the first one and keep rolling.  #3 and #4 flowers are just attached to the bottom of #1 and #2.  Make sure you alternate the petals.  After the glue has dried, you then bend the petals to form a flower.  The large flower is in the corner.  I added three different pieces from the Botanical Builders Framelits and placed them under the petite petal flower.  They were then painted with the Wink of Stella.

Kathy Gage used the Swirly Bird Stamp Set and the Swirly Scribble Thinlits, and the Hello You thinlits.

She used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Tempting Turquoise card stocks and inks.

The rhinestone really add a nice "pop" to the card.

Sheila Penaranda used the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits, the coordinating Sunshine Sayings Stamp set along with the new Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper.

Really elegant.

Yolanda Ojeda also used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, the Swirly Bird, Balloon Celebration (cloud), and the Wetlands (greeting) Stamp Sets.

The card stock colors are Bermuda Bay, Soft Sky, Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Curry. She stamped the clouds with the Whisper White craft pad.

It's clever how she cut the water out of two different blues and pieced them together.

Janet Thiel  used the used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Flourish Thinlits (leaves) and the Hello You Thinlits.

She used the new in colors for the flowers:  Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum, and Emerald Envy for the leaves.

The flowers really pop on the Basic Black card stock, don't they!
